If you're looking for increased battery capacity, faster charging, or longer battery life, upgrading your vessel's battery system to lithium might be the best option.

Sea & Land Yacht Works specializes in lithium battery system retrofits, and our team has extensive knowledge to put together a system that best fits the needs of your boat. Our team has experience in converting boats ranging from 60' to 20', including high performance catamarans, center consoles, cruising sailboats and commercial fishing boats.

Our Process

Step 1: Consultation
Every lithium battery project begins with a two-hour onboard consultation to ensure the system is designed specifically for your vessel and how you use it. During this visit, we evaluate existing electrical systems, available installation space, and overall system layout, while gaining a clear understanding of your usage patterns, performance expectations, and budget considerations.

Note: Additions such as solar, high-output alternators, or other system upgrades are commonly discussed during this visit and can be incorporated into the overall project scope.

Step 2: Estimate & Scope Development
Following the consultation, Sea & Land Yacht Works will provide a detailed estimate outlining the full scope of work, projected labor hours, and all required materials and equipment. This estimate can be refined or adjusted to align with any additional needs, preferences, or constraints.

Note: Depending on system complexity, a detailed design schematic may be recommended or required to ensure installation efficiency and proper system integration.

Step 3: Installation
Upon approval of the estimate and receipt of the required deposit, we will schedule and begin the installation. With a clearly defined scope of work, any additional findings or requests outside of the agreed scope will be communicated for approval prior to proceeding.

For larger or extended-duration projects, weekly updates will be provided outlining progress, including technician notes, completed work, remaining scope items, hours to date, and any recommended out-of-scope items.

Note: Prior to beginning any work, our team takes steps to protect the vessel’s interior to prevent incidental damage during the installation process.

Step 4: System Handover & Documentation
Upon completion, the project lead will walk you through the installed system, including equipment locations, circuit protection, system operation, associated mobile applications, and recommended care and maintenance practices for long-term reliability.

If design schematics were part of the project, they will be updated to reflect the final installation and provided in digital or printed format.
