Sea & Land Yacht Works is a marine service provider based in South County RI. We specialize in marine electronics, electrical and marine systems, and are here to help keep your family and boat safe while enjoying the beautiful waters of Rhode Island. We understand the hassle and inconvenience in bringing your boat to us, which is why Sea & Land Yacht Works is also known for our Mobile Services.
Sea & Land Yacht Works is a member of American Boat & Yacht Council in addition to Rhode Island Marine Trade Association. Sea & Land Yacht Works is fully insured to meet all Marina Requirements for your boat's repair and maintenance.
Michael Garretson
President
In 2017, Michael left his role as a Mechanical Engineer to pursue his passion for sailing and the marine industry. Since then, Michael has grown Sea & Land Yacht Works to fill a void in the marine industry here in Rhode Island, bringing quality craftsmanship and repair services with exceptional customer service.
Michael graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, and is additionally a Master ABYC Technician. Specific qualifications include ABYC Marine Systems Technician Certification, ABYC Electrical Technician Certification, ABYC Standards, NMEA Advanced Marine Electronics Installer Certification, Advanced NMEA 2000 Certification, Airmar Installer Certification, B&G H5000 Certification, and OSHA 10 Safety Training Certification.
In his spare time, Michael enjoys sailing, fishing, and completing boat restorations. He is currently refitting a Bristol 38.8, and hopes to start on a Bertram 25 he has acquired in the next few years.
